Impact of Tropical Storm Remnants on Phoenix Weather
Remnants of Tropical Storm Mario have reached Arizona, leading to early morning rain and isolated showers in Phoenix on Thursday night. Various locations in the Valley experienced rainfall, with Tempe receiving 0.30 inches, while Mesa and Glendale saw 0.20 inches. A Flood Watch is in effect for southwestern Arizona until 2 a.m. Friday, including areas like Yuma and Blythe, as well as parts of southeast California, where significant rainfall is expected. Forecast models indicate a temporary lull in precipitation during the early afternoon, followed by additional showers and potential storms later in the evening and into Friday morning. Tomorrow's weather may bring more showers, particularly over higher elevations, with morning humidity levels in the 60s. Temperatures will remain in the upper 90s to around 100 degrees until Sunday, with a rise to 105 degrees anticipated by Tuesday.
